Alltel uses Cingular/ATT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and Pizza Hut has used logos of Domino's and Papa Johns, how is this not copyright infringment on the logo?

Trademarks do not require permission to use if they are used to properly identify the business of the mark holder. If Alltel tried to convince you that they were Sprint and used the logo, that would be infringement. However they are pretty clear in their advert that they are the competition to Sprint. In years past, advertisers were careful to put a disclaimer in the ad that registered trademarks are the property of their respective owner and not the advertiser. However this form of trade advertising has become so common, that a special disclaimer is not legally required.

I don't recall the Pizza Hut commercials, but I don't think Alltel uses the logos. If I remember right, they just use the words. You are supposed to have permission to use the actual logos, so I suspect none of them do or they would be in a legal battle immediately.
