Well, Let me give you an example.. A lot of the Mayan prophesies have come true, they predicted their own downfall and they predicted the exact date that the white man would show up. So using the same logic that Christians use to claim that Revelations is upon us. I mean they could be right...because they have been.

In 2012 the sun will be ending a regular 11 year cycle. However, it will also be the end of a 26,000 cycle called the procession of the equinoxes. The culmination of these two events, among other celestial cycles that are to complete in 2012, is why the planets are heating up, why the weather is getting freaky, and why everyone is acting strange. Keep in mind that out bodies are controlled by electrical impulses that can be affected by outside stimuli. If the sun gets crazy, so do we.
Scientists are predicting a very active sunspot cycle. One that will put the one in 2001 to shame. In that one, communication satellites were damaged and there were problems with power grids around the world. They are suspecting that the gamma rays will be significant enough to potentially destroy some satellites and some ground equipment. Worse, they are certain of a big CME (Coronal Mass Ejection). Their only hope is that we are not facing that side of the sun when it happens.

We cannot tell the day nor hour. but that hour does quickly approach. If that day is in 2012 i don't know. I do see that tribulation comes upon storm clouds, and what that will bring i do not know. but so we are told to keep watch because we do not know the day and hour. So keep yourselves free of sin, repent, and prepare to meet your maker. Some people will die tomorrow by unforseen circumstances, some in a few years, but soon JESUS will return and judge everyone LIVING and dead. Therefore prepare as if that day was today.

This is the meaning of the parable of ten virgins.

LOVE your neighbor as yourself.
Amen.

Yes - the end of the world through supernatural or just plain weird actions has been predicted over and over again. It has never come true.

However we are murdering the earth - hear and now, just look at the floods throughout the UK.

I think this one holds some merit, but in any case, we will have to wait and see.

Say, whay will you do when you wake up December 21, 2012 and see the sky just open up and some wild stuff start happening? I know I am going to smoke up the rest of my stash and trip the hell out.

Yes, it is nonsense when it refers to the world ending physically. What it really means is that our way of life as we have known it will end forever--there will be drastic changes. The old world and old way doing things will end and a new world/age will begin.

I believe it to be true, but not in the way many ppl think. I don't think it will be a physical ending, but our way of life will end & a new one will begin.

There is a New world order being implemented and all sorts of technology used to track & identify ppl, which is equivalent to the mark of the beast.

If you listened to Rush, you'd know that the world is going to end in 2112, not 2012.
