A radio DJ is trying to think of the best way too kill his wife because he caught her cheating on him. He has a perfect plan because he is the only one working at the station. He figures he could prepare a CD thats a mix and play it so people would think he is working. He puts the plan into action and slips out of the station. He goes home and shoots and kills his wife. He then gets back in his car and drives back to work. He heres something on the radio and knows he will be caught. He pulls off the side of the road and shoots himself. How did he know he had been caught?

Someone else showed up at the station and saw he wasn't there and took over?

Because the radio station that he played for started playign a different song then was on his CD mix so someone had known he was gone then seeing his wife was dead it would lead to the conclusion he did it.

possible answers:

the song playing is different than anything on the CD he put
someone is talking on the radio
someone is on the radio station saying "where's the radios DJ"
someone found out he was gone and his wife was dead and they announced it on the radio

CDs don't always play the way they are supposed to - sometimes they skip and make a very characteristic sound that is unmistakable to someone who knows what it is. How do I know? I used to be a radio DJ.

Either what number 1 said or the CD stopped playing (it was over) and they'd know he was gone from the station because it was dead air.

he either mentions the date/time on the CD and it doesnt match up to the date/time on air OR theres no commericals OR played a taped show where he was talking to his wife? or the CD skipped...... OR... theres a hundred possibilites

btw i think this was used on en episode of some show but i forget which.....
