I never used to block but i have had some nasty responces so i usualy block. I have enought problems with out fools annoying me.
Is this not ment to be entertainment ?

Not necessarily. It all depends on the reasons for the blocking.
If it's just cuz the blocker can't stand up to verbal warfare, or can't accept the truth...then YES it's runnin away.
If it's cuz the person being blocked is acting consistently dumb and never has any decent info to offer, then NO it's not runnin away, but just getting rid of an annoyance. Sorta like spam blockers on email.
And just FYI...I've never blocked anyone...but I ignore quite a few on my own.

Usually, I would say yes, but I would think there might be some exceptions where a person is just over the top insulting (or otherwise plain annoying) that it's just better for someone to block the other person.

depends on if they IM me or not. i don't care to have a debate/argument with someone outside of this forum. in that situation, i usually let 'em finish, say my peace, quickly resolve, and block.
also, many of the questions on here aren't in the spirit of the debate that goes on. but rather just attempts to ostracize and be intolerant towards those with differing belief systems.

I block people that for some reason blocked me. I don't even bother anyone, so I guess we have a lot of mentally unstable infants up here, and this feature is like an extension of high school for them and their egos. That's all it is, friend.

I have only blocked 2 people, and the reason is due to insane, rude and obnoxious emails.

I only block people that I seriously think will try to stalk me to get me deleted.
I don't really ask serious questions, so it's not like I am afraid of them challenging my thoughts.
