1) Radish == The tap root or the main root is modified for storage of food . Due to its shape it is called fusiform root .

2 ) Turnip == Same as above , but due to its shape it is called Napiform root .

3 ) Legume == The roots have nodules infested with nitrogen fixing bacteria for nitrogen fixation.
