I just wanted to let you all know that the kitten has made it through the night, he is moving around, although not like the other kittens but is a little fighter thats for sure. He can move his body and can kind of walk. I woke up every few hours in the night and hes doing fine. I had put him back in with the other kittens and mommy kitty isnt moving him away, she has cleaned him and around 4am i noticed he even was trying to suckle on her. However, what I'm still unsure of is his eyes. He doesnt seem to move them, and his membranes are still covering the eye about 25% and his pupils are still not dilating correctly. His body temp has went back to normal it appears as well. I really hope he makes it with my contuniued efforts to keep him alive.

M.C you didnt have to post to this if your going to just be mean about it.. maybe go back and read my other post.. the cat is a rescue cat, shes indoor and got out once for 15 minutes.. I plan on getting her fixed but this happened and then I couldnt.. Maybe instead of "putting people like me in jail" maybe people that left her, another cat pregnant and 6 kittens outside to die should be put in jail! Here i have found them all homes, all the ones i know of have been fixed and are living happy lives because of me. so dont talk trash to me when you dont know my situtation. I have saved more cats then you have changed your underwear!

Also.. yeah the kitten is staying warm, currently he is being cuddled by the other kittens and his body temp is right where it should be, I have been checking to make sure very often and have a heating pad all warm and ready for him in case he needs it. I cuddled him a lot last night but in the day I cant i have 2 year old twins so its a bit of a challenge

wow.. i think you are doing such a nice thing to be worrying about a little kitty.. one of my students found a 1 week old kitten with her eyes just open and i stole her from the students (here in Korea) haha.. don't worry.. i was doing a good thing doing that.. but she gave me hell.. she almost died on me 2 times and in the end it cost me a lot of money running to the vet and even getting her revived by them pumping her with stuff in her neck veins and getting a blow dryer to warm her body.. but in the end it was worth it! she is now a 2 year old strong, healthy cat that has every one that comes here scared she is going to attack them* I love her a lot and she is like family* good work and i wish you the best of luck with your little kitten ^o^ and yeah, keeping it warm is the best thing. you might want to get a hot waterbottle him/her for extra warmth~~

Keep up the TLC. I once had a stray who came to my house and had her kittens, 2 days later she was begging to get out of the house and I was on my way to work and she ran out the door. Later that day my friend found her dead, the dogs across the street had ripped her apart. So now I had 7 kittens to take care of. All of them did very good except the little runt. He has less than half the size of the other kittens and would bubble milk out of his nose when we bottle fed the kittens. There were days he would be so lifeless and I thought about having him put down. After they turned 6 weeks old I found them all loving homes, except the runt, he was still just learning to walk and was thin. After all the other kittens left one day the runt just started running around the house, playing, eating! He's now a healthy 7 year old (and a little plump).

Thanks for the update. Things do seem promising for this kitty, and a lot of it is due to your good care.

As for his eyes, even if it turns out that he is blind or vision-impaired, such cats can have full happy lives and be wonderful pets.

(I have twins myself, so you get a super-size commendation with oak-leaf cluster for being able to take care of a sickly kitten while dealing with 2-year-old twins.)
