When I was a teen, and still counted myself as a christian, I often found myself asking "god" for guidance in important decision making, looking for signs and such to help me find the right way to go. Unfortunately that never worked out, and I'm an atheist now. I usually use logic, or my heart to guide me now-a-days, but even those things haven't been as helpful as they should be at times. I guess I'm looking for opinions and personal experiences from anyone who has a good source for reliable guidance or divination of sorts. All faiths and opinions welcome. Thanks.

My magic 8 ball when things get real tough.

Normal problems and everyday dilemmas? I use the "eenie meenie, miny mo" technique after I make a collection of at least three logical choices or plans to pursue.

I always turn to God for guidance and support. And He provides it on a daily basis. We have to be able to recognize how God is guiding us. It could be thru other people, the bible an event in our life. There is always a sign, most do not recognize those signs and just say God didnt answer my prayer and then believe that God doesnt exist because their prayers were not answered in the way they wanted.God answers in His time , not ours and the answers come thru different avenues.

I hardly make any big decision without talking it through with my Dad first. My parents are a wealth of information and have a good track record. If Dad says it's not a good idea, I don't do it.

I can turn to my parents for any issue and I'd trust their guidance more than any deity.

I turn to myself first then to my friends. We may not share all the same views but I trust my friends to always have my best interest at heart.
