Do you see a psychiatrist, or a counselor? Maybe there is closure needed, you need to know that you wont be hurt anymore. It looks as though you are on the right track, you are doing things that calm you, Maybe, you just have to let go of the feeling of it happening again.
Who is it that you wish death on, yourself or the other person. Is he in jail or is he still around where you are able to see him. If he is not in jail and lives possibly in your area, move, get away. But I would definitely try counseling, and if your relationship is getting serious then maybe he would be willing to go with you at some point...

Depends on the dream- I know it may sound kinda silly, but there's a technique used in one of the Harry Potter books that worked for me... ok, so I used the technique way before HP was even a thought.

When I was a kid, I had a recurring dream where one of my brothers and I were being chased/attacked by a dinosaur. My mom suggested that I picture a clubhouse nearby... that didn't work so well, but I explained the situation to a friend, and she interpreted the club house more as a night club- with lady-dinosaurs in pearls and feathers, gentleman-dinos in tails and top hats- and that did it. It was silly enough that I never had that dream again.

At one point in one of the Harry Potter books, the Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, Professor Lupin is teaching the Hogwarts students about the creature called a bogart- it's actually a harmless creature, but it appears as whatever you fear the most. Professor Lupin taught the children a charm that alters the appearance of the bogart and makes it look ridiculous.

If there's a way to find one recurring theme in your nightmares that you can change just a little to make them silly, maybe that would help.

Best of luck!
