Over the past month I've seen hundreds of crap answers that have no answer or even pertain to the question. Can we all grow up and give some mind provoking answers instead of just saying JESUS, thats all you need to know. Thats not an answer.

Here's a summary.

The awaited Messiah will:

Be an earthly King of the Jews who restores the Jewish monarchy

Drive out the Roman invaders

Set up an independant Jewish state (ruled by that same Jewish monarchy)

Usher in an era of peace, justice and prosperity (known as "the kingdom of Heaven") for the *whole world*, during his lifetime

Here is just a few. There are actually around 300 of these prophecies. I've listed the old testament reference and the new testament reference that shows that Jesus fulfilled it.

Born in Bethlehem: Micah 5:2.... Matthew 2:1.... Luke 2:4-.

- To be born of a Virgin: Isaiah 7:14, Matthew 1:18.... Luke 1:26-35.

- Time of his birth: Daniel 9:25.... Luke 2:1:
Slaughter of the Innocent children: Jeremiah 31:15.... Matthew 2:16-18.
- Flight to Egypt: Hosea 11:1.... Matthew 2:14-15.

- Triumphal entry in Jerusalem on a donkey: Zechariah 9:9.... John 12:13-14.

- Entry through the "Golden Gate", that shall be shut for ever after his entrance: Ezekiel 44:1-2.... Mark 11:7-8.

- Betrayed by a friend, for 30 pieces of silver: Zechariah 11:12, Psalm 41:9... Mark 14:10, Matthew 26:14-15.
- Money to be returned for a potter's field: Zechariah 11:13.... Matthew 27:6-7.
- Judas's position to be taken by another: Psalm 109:7-8.... Acts 1:18-20.
- Accused by false witnesses: Psalms .27:12, 35:11.... Mt 26:60-61, Mk.14:57.

Check out Deuteronomy 13. Any prophet that leads you to worship other gods is not of The God. Christianity gets around this by saying that Jesus was part of God and therefore not a different god. B.S.

BTW, you can't quote NT in answer to a question about prophecies of the Messiah because the NT assumes he has already come. Plus our questioner asked about OT explicitly.

I first want to say that in giving you the answer you may reject this as the prophecy of the Messiah as men have already done so. But the prophecy of the Messiah is by several prophets but Isaiah gave the prophecy of his birth.

Isaiah 7:13 And he said, Hear ye now, O house of David; Is it a small thing for you to weary men, but will ye weary my God also?

14Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

15Butter and honey shall he eat, that he may know to refuse the evil, and choose the good.

16For before the child shall know to refuse the evil, and choose the good, the land that thou abhorrest shall be forsaken of both her kings.

This is a start to where to find the prophecies. Go buy a reference Bible and find other scriptures with other prophecies that pertain to Christ being the Messiah

Isaiah 52 and Isaiah 53 and Isaiah 61

This is a subject that requires much discussion because if I give you an answer it will surely raise more questions.
Because there appears to be an argument that Jesus did not fulfill all of the prophesies.

I wish I could make it simple but I would suggest reading this:

Not enough time to list them here, but-
You can't get correct answers from christians and certainly not from those twisted and laughable judahphiles, the messianics.
Please see-

In order to understand why jews know jesus is not their messiah, you must ask jews.
Others can only repeat what they have been told by xtianity.

The only thing is that as long as you believe in mythical fairy tails, like the bable oh, I mean the bible, you haven't grown up. There are hundres of religions out there, why do you think yours is valid. Yes there is a god but his teachings are not in some book, they are in your soul. Look there for answers.

There are over 100 prophesies.

There isn't room to list them here.

Send me an E-mail with your regular E-mail address and I find you a list of them.

Isaiah says he will be born from the house of David.
He would be called Immanuel which is God with us.
He would be born of a virgin.
He would atone for sin.
