Sounds like Aesop to me, but whatever. And yes, its true. That being the case, Q and A is for some the proverbial "ship of fools." And our friends are all aboard; many more of them live next door, ha ha.!

Yes, indeed it is true. Think about it. A fool takes no opportunity to research his opinion, only to express it based on what he's heard, not on what he's studied and/or read in passing.

Proverbs 18:2-7 (King James Version)
King James Version (KJV)
2A fool hath no delight in understanding, but that his heart may discover itself.
3When the wicked cometh, then cometh also contempt, and with ignominy reproach.
4The words of a man's mouth are as deep waters, and the wellspring of wisdom as a flowing brook.
5It is not good to accept the person of the wicked, to overthrow the righteous in judgment.
6A fool's lips enter into contention, and his mouth calleth for strokes.
7A fool's mouth is his destruction, and his lips are the snare of his soul.

i think that quote is often used BY fools to try & "shame" people who disagree with them into shutting up. i've been quoted that by people who have no interest in understanding where i'm coming from and only want me to "embrace" their beliefs (which i was trying to understand at the time, but after such comments i gave up).
