Brightly collored Name Tags Large enough to see from a little ways away can be pinned to their backs. (With this idea, if they are very small, preschool age, then you'll want to put only their first names and you might want to put that side to their shirt so others can't see it.)

Another, is to use construction paper and have an Art day before you go, give the kids lots of different things to use and some glue and make visors or hats for them to wear on their Firld trip - maybe even decorate them according to where they are going. This works for slightly older children as well.

Request that the children all wear the same colored T-shirts on your field trip, then have a construction paper cut out in the same color ready for those kids that forgot to wear their t-shirts.

In addition to same shirt same hat, you wear a unique hat too. Nothing too weird or embarrassing, but different so that the kids can identify you. My daughter works in a camp/daycare situation. When they go on trips, everybody wears red, and she wears an Uncle Sam hat left over from 4th of July two years ago. It's high, and the kids can see her.

If your children like to wear hats, you can do that all the same color or design. You can have all the children wear the same color shorts, bright and colorful. You can put a special arm band, wrist band or something along those lines. If you have a variety of ages, you can have a rope with knots on them and everybody holds on to a knot and you stagger each child some on the right, the next one on the left etc. Also, talk to your children about what to do if they get lost or separated from you. Stay put! I got lost one time at the New York World's Fair and I stayed put. I was 10. Good luck hope this helps!

A bracelet with your camp colours on it. Have the kids design it before they go, sort of as a craft for the week. It's easy to identify, and the kids will keep them as a memory from camp.

If not, you can always tape a piece of paper with the camp name on it, on the kids shirts.

Good Luck!

Or get some bright colored name tag stickers that they can all wear on thier shirts. Sometimes it can be hard getting that many kids to remember to wear a red shirt. Most art supply stores, or even maybe Wal-mart should have some colored stickers that say "Hello, My name is..." they are usually 2 by 4 inches large so they would be easy to spot.

Dunk their little heads into different substances. For instance, if you have two teams, dunk half the kids in barbeque sause, the other half in purple kool-aid.

Hope I have been of some assistance.
