it answers the question of why bad things happen to bad people.
take greek mythology, the gods were very human. had strong, often conflicting opinions. also, they didn't seem to have too much regard for human life, tolerance, or really anything aside from themselves. to even get 'em to do anything, you had to bribe 'em with some free food. lol.
god is out for himself! perhaps a philosophical breakthrough! lol.
when compared to it's major deity-based competitors, doesn't polytheism look like the most logical choice?
then again you've got the whole science thing.... lol.

Yes, it makes perfect sense to me but I grew up polytheist.
I just can't imagine that there is only one deity in this entire universe. I can't imagine any deity that is exclusively positive or negative---for that matter, I don't know of anything at all that is exclusively positive or exclusively negative.
There isn't any conflict between my religion and science with the exception that I believe in deities that I cannot prove scientifically. And that's okay with me. I don't try to convince anyone to follow my religion or believe the same things that I do, so that isn't an issue for me.

One of the ways in which Polytheism makes sense is if you look at Jesus and a religion such as Buddhism or Hinduism. There is something called "The Middle Way" in the eastern philosophies that runs true also in Christianity. That is everything in moderation.
I have known Polytheistic professors in college who have studied these three religions and they believe in all three. I suppose it could make sense in some way.

Polytheism would make since, which is why it's wrong. Anyone could have made something that makes since. You have to be a genius to establish a false religion. But that's why Christianity is right- it doesn't make sense to humans and no genius could over look the problems. Why didn't Abraham claim there was six gods, unless he was right, and there WAS one God?

Uuuhh no... gods in general don't make sense, but multiple gods make even less sense then normal. Thats all I would want to think about is a bunch of gods wandering around killing people because they are bored... that doesn't seem better at all! In the end I guess faith is a personal thing though so it all depends on how you look at it.

It does to me...but then I take the perspective that each God or Goddess is simply another aspect of the greater divine.
Bad things happening to bad people is just a result of the law of three.

For some people it is. For some people it isn't. Faith is a personal thing. As long people can learn to respect that, the world would be a better place.

Not at all. It rather make things confusing. You don't really know whom to follow or believe in. It's very imperfect and perfection cannot be achieved because there will be great competition, etc.

If I had to be a theocratic man...I suppose....but I'd rather not, I'm more for proven facts and the spiritual side of things than opposed to deities...
