no he was a roman catholic by all accounts and i don't see what his religious slant has to do with the atrocities that he commited. though the roman catholic church did condonne the holocaust which is a bit disturbing and only said 'yea sorry that was a bit wrong wasn't it?' in 1998 or something

Ya know who really truly cares. Hitler was an evil person. And guess what else? You've heard about Hell and who's in charge of it? Guess who believes in God too....thats right.
So theres the atheist who have turned there backs on God and what He stands for and there are I would asume atheist that just don't see how God could be, but do not "hate" Him, they just don't believe and believe say in evolution or something.
I think alot of people get there wires crossed up when they think of the word atheist.
People such as Hitler and his actions...which speaks much much louder than words is actually the "type" that you need to keep your eyes on........I'm sure he believed in God thats why he (Hitler) was so evil....he was a true follower of Satin.

Yeah,
Facts from an Atheist web-sight.
There is a big difference between Hitler claiming to be the Son of God himself and claiming to be a Christian.
He can not be a Christian and worship himself.
You may not be able to Claim that he is an Atheist either though.
I would say that he was a Hitlerian. He wanted everyone to worship him.
He did use some Catholics for his propaganda machine though. That does not make him a Christian.
Peace be with you!

Look, the fact is that Christianity was the majority religion in Germany at the time of the second world war. That makes most Nazis christians (except that little-known clause in christianity that they were probably not "real christians")
But what is really disturbing is the stance of the Vatican during the second world war. You should look into that sometime.
What Hitler believed or did not believed regarding gods is not really relevant. Personally I think he had a religious upbringing but like so many charismatic leaders just used it as a tool, i.e. he probably did not believe himself. But I can't exactly go and ask him.

He was definitely a Christian. He was a practicing Catholic, and so must clearly be saved and in Heaven with Choirs of Angels.
Many of the people he killed were Jews. They were not Christians. So they are in Hell suffering eternal damnation at the fiery furnace.
It just was not their day.
Christians may not like this, but this is the simple reality of the creed they preach. The second part is absolutely beyond dispute, and no more palatable than the first.
Nice religion, eh.

God repeatedly commands his followers to kill others throughout the Bible. Most Christians haven't read the entire Bible and have no clue what it REALLY says. Hitler was OBEYING GOD.
"Hence today I believe that I am acting in accordance with the will of the Almighty Creator: by defending myself against the Jew, I am fighting for the work of the Lord." - Adolf Hitler
“Who says I am not under the special protection of God?” - Adolf Hitler
"My feelings as a Christian points me to my Lord and Savior as a fighter. It points me to the man who once in loneliness, surrounded by a few followers, recognized these Jews for what they were and summoned men to fight against them and who, God's truth! was greatest not as a sufferer but as a fighter. In boundless love as a Christian and as a man I read through the passage which tells us how the Lord at last rose in His might and seized the scourge to drive out of the Temple the brood of vipers and adders. How terrific was His fight for the world against the Jewish poison. To-day, after two thousand years, with deepest emotion I recognize more profoundly than ever before the fact that it was for this that He had to shed His blood upon the Cross. As a Christian I have no duty to allow myself to be cheated, but I have the duty to be a fighter for truth and justice... And if there is anything which could demonstrate that we are acting rightly it is the distress that daily grows. For as a Christian I have also a duty to my own people." - Adolf Hitler

He was raised Catholic. As a matter of fact, it was members of the Vatican who assisted in the escape of many Nazi war criminals to South America. No connection though huh?

I would accept the possibility that Hitler fained religious belief as a means to acquire power.
But then the question has to be asked, if Christianity is everything Christians say it is, why would it be "useful" for Hitler?
