Can anyone give me tasty but healthy recipes for the school year?
I don't like to eat breakfast, so if you can give me some very quick, easy to make, healthy and not too filling breakfasts, that'd be great.

And lunch I need to be able to make in about 15 minutes, be eaten in about 35ish minutes, healthy, and can fit into a lunch box.

Thanks!

Breakfast: Yogurt is always good. You got some calcium, some protein, and some vitamins, assuming you get some fruit flavored yogurt. If you want a little extra crunch, you can sprinkle some of your favorite cereal on top. Fresh fruit is also a wonderful way to start your day.

Lunch: Sandwiches are your bread and butter, literally! Mix it up. Turkey and tuna are both great for you, and if you put some healthy green lettuce (none of that iceberg stuff) and a tomato you will round things out. Go easy on the mayo, if you even want any. On other days you can mix it up with peanut butter and your favorite jelly. For some healthy, quick side snacks, I'd recommend a combination of string cheese, carrot sticks, and grapes. These don't take any prep time, and all have their own benefits. To drink, well, I think that's up to you. Bottled water is the simplest.

Be careful with portion control - be sure to use a measuring cup and kitchen scale when you fix your food. Otherwise you'll run the risk of overeating - and possibly gaining unwanted pounds.

Breakfast:
Low fat yogurt - however you like it.
Bagel (small) with a little cream cheese - If all you can get are large bagels - eat only half a bagel.
Muffin - same with a bagel - most store muffins contain 2 servings. A little cream cheese is great on a muffin too.
Fresh fruit in season - with plain yogurt mixed in.

Lunch
Hearty sandwich on multi-grain bread - PBJ is good - or lunch meat, cheese, whatever is left over in your fridge.
Small piece of Pita Bread split in half filled with greens and tomatoes - topped off with light dressing (carried separately)
Piece of fresh fruit - for later
Cookie - also for later
Juice box or water bottle.

HINT: Freeze the juice box or water bottle to keep food fresh until lunch time.

The best thing you can do for breakfast is take in some high-quality protien. Be it a protien bar, protien shake, yogurt, or whatever. Just make sure that it is Whey Protien. The others are good too, but the whey is the most complete.

Fruits and veggies that are easy to prepare should be eaten with every meal and between meals as a snack.

Tuna in spring water (NOT OIL) is good to have with lunch. It contains the Omega fatty acids that your body needs (anti-oxidants) as well as another kick of protien.

I used to make soft tacos w/ refried beans and a little salsa and sprinkled cheese for my kid's lunchbox. She loved it and would sometimes warm it up in the school microwave. After awhile, all her friends asked for it, too!

How about a little chef salad- diced egg, ham, turkey, cheese tomato, baby carrots, lettuce- put it in a disposable container with a plastic fork and your favorite salad dressing- make it the night before so you aren't in a rush in the morning.
For breakfast: A healthy bread toasted -
with a teaspoon of your favorite flavor jam, spread with cream cheese. Also good, a nice bread with a little hummus.
A fruit smoothy- throw your favorite fruits in the blender with some Orange juice and ice- can add some yogurt or milk too, if you like.
Mix your favorite cold cereals and nuts together- top with a sliced strawberry- it doesn't have to be a large quantity of food, just so you have something to get your body going in the morning. Hearty Appetite!

Smoothies are great for breakfast... a container of yogurt, fresh fruit, a cup of milk and ice. Blend... tasty!!!
for lunch, I'd go with a salad with grilled chicken (for the protein). Try tortilla roll-ups with turkey, lettuce, cheese and mustard. Soup is always a nice filling low-calories solution, too.

or some cereal like cheerios or special k would be good for you and good tasting........
For lunch you should bring a sandwhich on wheat (not white) bread with lowfat mayonnaise, & if u want, a small salad, maybe some yogurt, and 1 snack like 2 cookies or fruit snacks or something. Usually when i pack my lunch, i try to have:
~A main dish kinda thing (sandwhich, salad, soup, ect)
~A fruit (apple, pear, bananas bruise easily....)
~A snack
~A juice as a drink
that way i get a whole bunch ofthe food group things........
