i wanted to know how to become a fully registered child minder that works from home.

What do I have to do and how easy is it to do it?

You have to attend a pre-registration course, and then get inspected by Ofsted. You will then have to complete some training, such as first aid and an introduction to childcare practice. Then you pay your fee, wait for your certificate, then you can start.

NVQ in child care, when complete the social work department do a criminal background check and make sure your house is suitable regarding fire guards, patio doors, stair gates etc.

Talk to your Community Action Agency. They will help you get set up in all aspects of child care. They are the ones who walked me thru it all.
