i gave my picture to an agent and he came back to me in a months time with a new passport and demanded money for it... i paid him a took the passport... its an old one issued in 1998, and its got the wrong address?? shud i destroy it??? is it real??

Since it must be expiring soon, assuming it is valid for ten years from date of issue, you can apply for a new one but this time do it through proper official channels to avoid any doubts lof its authenticity ater!

it should have the new issue date on it and the information you gave him. did you give him old address? and if this happend recently, you're passport's about to expire withink a year, so better go get another one

None agent can give you fake passport. Go to RPO for clarification / complaint / surrendrer

pls contact the passport office which has issued the passport.
the issuance office stamp is there on the passport.

No, donot destry it, but check with the issuing office, and lodge an FIR against the culprit if you have been cheated.
