In 2002, I fought in Puerto Rico for the Junior TKD World Championships. My fight was the first one of the whole tournament, and guess who they matched me up against: the world champion. LOL

Anyways, I got a few good hits off him, but he came around with a big right hook, broke my nose and stunned me, and as I was falling down, he whipped around his leg for a high section roundhouse....to my already broken nose of course. Well, I got up off the floor after a few seconds, realizing that my nose was under my right eye, as opposed to the standard between the eyes configuration, as noses should usually be. Well, I spent some fun time at the ER drugged up and hitting on the Puerto Rican nurses..
A fun experience but moderately painful.

During my ryobu-kai training, my sensei offered a purple belt who didn't enjoy kumite to promote him to brown belt if he could disable me with a single blow when sparring.

This guy became very fierce and threw everything in his arsenal to me, i was only a white belft, I enjoyed kumite, so I also threw everything I had to him. I ended up with a nasty black eye (rounhouse kick), I stopped him with a punch to the stomach.

During muay thai sparring I've had my nose broken twice, and I've lost count as how many bruises.

I have enjoyed it so far, not getting hurt, but the competition and improving my skill.

A round kick with the shin right across my face - from my brother-in-law!!! Broke my nose! And it was my fault. I was being slightly egotistical and sparring two people at once, allowing them to trade off when they were tired, not realizing that I was getting very tired myself. I let my guard down and ..... made a surprise visit to the ER...

I hate to spare with white belts, no control and nervous bout getting hit. Where to start, hit in the jaw, nose, nuts. If your in it your gonna get hit. Most embarassing, a girl kicked me in the jewels, lucky I was wearing a cup. LOL

Getting hit in the groin is the worst thing by far, just shows you that you are only as strong as your weakest link, and that link is the groin :)
