God creates Adam and Eve, they are disobedient to God, God punishes them severely with hardship and death. They have children, Cain kill his brother, God tells him to leave and go far away, after a few years human population grows, God's angels look at human females with desire, they come down and take them as wifes. All Humanity turns disobedient to God except Noah. God feels hurt by Humanity and regrets ever creating them. He tells Noah to build an arc. God sends the flood and everyone dies execpt Noah and his sons. An now humanity finds itself in a similar situation. So God will again get rid of humans that reject him.

What do you think? Does it make sense to believe in God? Is there another way God could have created intelligent free will life without having this mess?

Nope. I've been wonderning the same things.

What bothers me is that God keeps getting humanity wrong. He's intervened, specifically to straighten us out, on at least 4 major occasions (and 2 "new" covenants).

1.) Kicks Adam and Eve out of Eden

2.) Wipes out all life, except that on Noah's arc. Makes a new covenant to last forever . . . but Jesus brought ANOTHER new covenant . . . I guess those everlasting covenants aren't all they're cracked up to be.

3.) Takes his chosen people out of Egytian bondage, using miracle after incredible miracle. God's chosen people thank him by worshiping a golden calf. Moses delivers God's ten commandments to his people.

4.) Despite having given his law to his people God needs to straighten them out again. He sends his only begotten son, with another new covenant, to die on the cross for our sins.

Why does he keep failing? What's up with our All-powerful God? Does he like learning the hard way?

If he keeps intervening, how are we supposed to have unencumbered free will?

You asked, "So God will again get rid of humans that reject him?"

Matthew 4:17-From that time on Jesus commenced preaching and saying: “Repent, you people, for the kingdom of the heavens has drawn near

Revelation 11:15- The kingdom of the world did become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, and he will rule as king forever and ever.

Mark 13:9-20-for those days will be days of a tribulation such as has not occurred from the beginning of the creation which God created until that time, and will not occur again. 20 In fact, unless Jehovah had cut short the days, no flesh would be saved. But on account of the chosen ones whom he has chosen he has cut short the days.

Psalms 145:20-Jehovah is guarding all those loving him,But all the wicked ones he will annihilate

Revelation 11:17-18-saying: “We thank you, Jehovah God, the Almighty, the One who is and who was, because you have taken your great power and begun ruling as king. 18 But the nations became wrathful, and your own wrath came, and the appointed time for the dead to be judged, and to give [their] reward to your slaves the prophets and to the holy ones and to those fearing your name, the small and the great, and to bring to ruin those ruining the earth

No, I don't think that there is. Free will means the ability to choose right from wrong. Now the whole God getting rid of the humans that reject him. I think that he will, but I don't think that it will come as a flood, but as Armageddon, when Jesus returns and the 7 years of tribulation.

People took what God gave them and messed it up. That is like saying that the person who builds or decorates a house is responsible for the tenants who decide that partying and destroying the house is a good idea... Would you really blame the builder/decorator? Would the builder or decorator be responsible for the clean up? NO and NO!! Yet, God promises to restore all to perfection again, cleaning up after us... I would say that is pretty cool of Him... By the way - He is here for us now - all we have to do is go to Him... like when you want to get a haircut - the barber doesn't come to us, right? so yeah - you get the idea...

I'm genuinely curious: can you answer your own question? Can you think of a way God could create intelligent creatures free to choose good without being free to choose evil?

Also keep in mind that many Christians (not ALL, so please don't start yelling at me) regard some of the stories you're talking about as sacred myths rather than factual historical accounts.

While the uninformed may blame God for the suffering of His creatures, a sincere student of Srimad Bhagavatam will come to appreciate the Supreme Lord's equal concern for each soul. Since He has nothing to lose or gain, there is no reason for Him to distinguish between friends and opponents. We may choose to oppose Him and make all endeavors to forget Him, but He never forgets us, nor does He ever stop providing us with all our necessities, along with His unseen guidance.

God stated that he would never do that again as it hurt Him too deeply.

Would you choose not to have children b/c they aren't going to be perfect? No, you have children to build a family, to see them grow, to see the fruits of your labor. That's what He has done with us. I think the fact that God gave us free will just proves what an awesome God he is. If I could choose between my future children doing what they choose or what I choose, I think I would choose the later.

Genesis 9:8-17

8 Then God said to Noah and to his sons with him: 9 "I now establish my covenant with you and with your descendants after you 10 and with every living creature that was with you—the birds, the livestock and all the wild animals, all those that came out of the ark with you—every living creature on earth. 11 I establish my covenant with you: Never again will all life be cut off by the waters of a flood; never again will there be a flood to destroy the earth."

12 And God said, "This is the sign of the covenant I am making between me and you and every living creature with you, a covenant for all generations to come: 13 I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth. 14 Whenever I bring clouds over the earth and the rainbow appears in the clouds, 15 I will remember my covenant between me and you and all living creatures of every kind. Never again will the waters become a flood to destroy all life. 16 Whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and all living creatures of every kind on the earth."

17 So God said to Noah, "This is the sign of the covenant I have established between me and all life on the earth."

Please spare us with your great intelligence. It is a simple process's that God gave us in this messed up world in order to make it We call on his son Jesus Christ confessing our sin and sinful nature accepting a need to be forgivein and surrender to a complete obedience to the teaching of Jesus as it was given by our Father God in heaven.Being covered by the blood he shed on calvery washes away our sins.So someday we can spend forever in heaven.God did not creat a mess man has try hard to do that ever since.Trust in Jesus the one who will be your judge one day.only he can save your soul, non other can.

Free will, with rules to live by, given by God. Look around. We teach our children to live by rules..........we teach them to be independent, to think for themselves. We HOPE they choose wisely. That's all any Father or mother can do..........is to stand back and hope the child chooses wisely. Luckily, most parents do not have the choice of just 'erasing' their children, if they do not meet the parents' expectations. Realistic, independent thinking, BRINGS on new ideas, new ways. If it didn't, we'd all still be in a cave somewhere, I think.

But, primoa, if god created people, he could have created them without sin. And this does not take into account natural disasters that kill people who did not choose, with their "free will," for these things to happen.
You cannot explain such important ideas with platitudes and cliches.
Eds, thanks a lot, but I believe in neither god nor satan.
