See Galatians 5:22,23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such things there is no law.

The fruit of the Spirit is the love of God which has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit (Romans 5:5). God empowers us with His love to obey His commandment to us to love others as He has loved us (John 13:34) and we who are to love like God should love those who are yet sinners (Romans 5:8). God is love and we who abide in love abide in God (1 John 4:16). We love like God so that He can be glorified and magnified in our lives.

Since you already have many answerers who have accurately answered your first question, I will not repeat it. As for the second question the fruits of the Spirit is what our characters should be based upon. When God comes to take his people home we will be changed in an instant. We will be made into beautiful beings, with no flaws, perfect health. The only thing that God will not change is our character. That we need to do right here right now. The fruits are not only essential to our purpose in life by they are essential to our acceptance into heaven. God will not take those who are poor in character into heaven.

love joy peace patience kindness goodness gentleness faithfulness and self control

Important b/c they show we have the spirit indwelling but also to be Jesus to the world. If there is a lack of these things then we show a partial Jesus. Our purpose in life is to put Christ forward for the world to see; must show the whole Jesus. Amen

Galatians 5:22-25-On the other hand, the fruitage of the spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faith, 23 mildness, self-control. Against such things there is no law. 24 Moreover, those who belong to Christ Jesus impaled the flesh together with its passions and desires.

25 If we are living by spirit, let us go on walking orderly also by spirit.

These are things in harmony with Christ and if we are to please God well, we do our best to maifest these.

Open forum you can not exclude or else thy would have a tab you could push.
Your purpose is to serve man and Satan by blindly following your church and dismissing the word of god. Awake to the life Jesus proscribed to you and leave the world of man behind. Arise and throw down your masters in the churches.
