I like abreva too, you can also get a script for Valtrex from your doctor, one tablet a day for four days is all it takes.

Abreva works great. It is about $15 at Wal-Mart or a drug store, but it is FANTASTIC. I used to get cold sores a lot and they took weeks to get rid of until I found this stuff. It get's rid of them in about 3 days.

Good Luck!

I put turmeric powder, cloves, and neem tea into vodka or everclear for a day or two, then apply with a que-tip. It works great, most are cleared up in 2 or 3 days and it seems to prevent scarring. (needless to say, I have the vodka stuff on hand all the time in my medicine cabinet)

At night before you put Abreva on or any other creams, use a warm compress to get the swelling down (if it's a big one) then put the creams on. Good luck!!!
