My question is, for a summer wedding, looking at all these together, what colors should I go with for the bridesmaids dresses? Fresh blue with a cream belt is what I was originally thinking, but that blue is kinda dark for summer. Should I do a champagne color or will that be too close to my dress? The fresh blue is the swatch at the bottome next to the navy blue. If you hold the cursor over the colors it tells you what they're called. Any feedback would be great!

Oh yeah. For the tuxes, should I go with blue vests or champagne? Any other color suggestions welcome as well. Can't change the kilt color either. It has already been ordered.

Sorry. THat was confusing. The website doesn't let you change the color of the bridesmaids dresses if you click on the colors. It only tells you what the colors are called if you hold the cursor over the color squares.

By the way, I chose those bridesmaid dresses because of the length. I live in SC and my wedding will be June 21 which means it will be hot as hell and floor lenght bridesmaids dresses would be cruel and unusual not to mention completely unwearable after the wedding.

I think it's easy to overthink color. The fresh blue is pretty and goes nicely with the kilt, so I would tend to go with that and not worry so much about the season. After all, colors don't stop being pretty just because you turn the page on a calendar.
If you're worried about the overall look being darker than you wanted, make sure to use some very bright flowers in the bridesmaid's bouquets. Add a pop of hot pink or sunshine yellow to brighten the overall effect. But I happen to think a strong blue on a summer's day is very pretty and actually flattering to more women than the ubiquitous little black dress people are putting on bridesmaids all year long.
I'd be more inclined to go with cream colored vests than blue ones for the men, but either would certainly work.
From these pictures, I'd say that your wedding party is going to look great.
Relax and enjoy the colors!

Personally, I'd put the bridesmaids in blue and then get sashes made out of the kilt fabric for them and vests to match for the groomsmen for balance. I dig the suggestion above of matching their dresses to the red accent in the kilt, though -- do that with the vests on the groomsmen, too.
But to be honest, I think the bridesmaid dresses are all wrong. The skirt is nothing like yours or the kilt, so it's like three completely different styles fighting each other. The girls should have a-lines with straight hems. The fresh blue is an okay color for summer, as long as it doesn't clash with the kilt -- it's just that bubble hemline that seems off to me. Did you consider this one in a solid fresh blue (no contrast)? I think it would harmonize better.

what about the peacock or the colt blue for the bridesmaids dresses they will complement the kilt. The fresh blue is nice too and would work great for a spring wedding. Also you dont want to overwhelm the color what about a nice complementary color for the vest like silver or black. Remember this is your wedding do what makes you the happiest. Make sure you tie in your colors to the rest of your wedding like the flowers, center pieces. Have a great wedding!

Hi there,
Your dress is stunning. Good choice!
Yes, fresh blue seems a bit to dark for a summer wedding, but i think that if you are planning to macth everything, this will be the best choice to match yoru fiance's quilt.
If youw ant a different shade of blue, Ice Blue or Cobalt would be other suitable choices. It's a nice summery color that goes well with a champagne belt. No champagne color bridesmaid dresses. Too close to your dress.
Congrats and good luck

I don't think the fresh blue would be too dark for a summer wedding. I think it will look great! Don't do champagne bridesmaids dresses because they will look too similar to your dress.
Then I would probably put the groomsmen in black tuxes with a blue vest and tie.

I love the dresses you have chosen for yourself and your bridesmaid. I tried to change the color on the bridesmaid dress but it wouldn't let me but I think the cobalt color may look good. It's not to dark or light but a nice match with the kilt. Congrats on your wedding and i wish you both many years of happiness.

Go with the blue dress and cream belt. I do think the bridesmaids dresses are a little informal in comparison to your gown. I think blue vests on the guys might be too much. You might just stick with black or something neutral.

I would actually put them in the raspberry color with cream ribbons to accent the red stripes in the tartan. Have them carry a mix of blue and cream flowers.
The reason why I wouldn't put them in blue is because you HTB to stand out just as much as you in the pictures but still have them coordinate with him. If everybody is in blue you will all blend together in pics. Besides that raspberry would be more flattering to most skin tones than the blue.
For the men I would go with a classic black tux if you can find navy that would be perfect! Have the best man be raspberry tie with blue boutineer and the other groomsman blue tie with raspberry boutineer. Cream/Champagne shirts and vest on all of them.

both dresses are pretty. go with the blue if you really want it. it's ok if it's a little dark b/c the dress is tea-length and a nice light material. if it was a long gown i would say go a bit lighter. skip the champagne. too over done. of you want something lighter, go with a tiffany or robin's egg blue. alfred angelo has a ton of blue colors. riviera sky is a nice light blue. (my JBM are in that color). oh, and blue vests for the guys.

The blue is fine for summer! The groomsmen in grey tuxes with blue bowtie and cummerbund, or blue vest.
