I assume that you married in Thailand, but marriage does not give the spouse automatic right to settle in the UK,Most likely she will obtain a Visa for up to 1 year in the first instance,The reason being is that in the past women from Thailand and eastern europe have been marrying men from the Uk for the sole purpose of getting citizenship. In answer to your question it will take a while and many checks on her and her family will be made. When she goes to the Embassy she will be interviewed at lengh. It would be as well if you could give here moral support at this visit, even though you will not be allowed in the interview room. You will find the Embassy staff highly trained strict but fair.Should both your circumstances satisfy the criteria then she will get a visa,I would not push the appointment to speed things up,they work on the English Law as when you are buying a house to give the parties time to change their minds.Really you are the one that matters here and must have suitable accomadation and in enployment.Best of luck but it is a hard road.
