Hi there!

You mean the letter И (i/ee)? It is pronounced as the sound in cr/ee/d is... although, it signals that the letter before it is palatised, so Ленин, for example, is pronounced as though written Lyenyin.

Two es in a row would be 'ye-ye', whereas an e followed by ë would be 'ye-yo.'

Best wishes,

Cs.

The second 'e' has a pair of dots over it, so the whole word is pronounced (English/American style spelling) /yay-yo/ or, more phonetically, [jejo] with the stress on the second syllable.

If you're thinking of eë, it's pronounced "yeh-yOH". Hope this helps.
