I have not had an allergic reaction to anything, nor have I come into contact with poison ivy (which I'm not allergic to anyway). My hands and feet itch so bad that I scratch until they are bloody and keep scratching just to get some relief. What's the deal? I use prescription steroid cream, but it does not help. I wash my hands and feet regularly with hypoallergenic soap and I apply a prescription moisturizer immediately afterwards. I am careful to dry off completely. I am horridly uncomfortable and don't know what's wrong. Any ideas?

Nope, not a fungus OR bacterial infection. Nor is it a topical allergy. I can't figure out what the problem is and neither can the doctors that I've seen.

Use some benedryl gel. If it continues being a problem I would go to the doctor as it can be a sign of Lupus

It might be some kind of fungus - in which case you need an anti-fungal treatment. I used to have the same thing - my feet would itch and bleed. I would have deep cracks and could barely walk (even when I was a little kid).

Go to a dermatologist - I think that's your best bet. Hope you get better soon!

you should see a specialist and take a blood test to see if you are alergic to anything you shouldnt sctrach alot especially if it starts bleeding coz it can get infected, my hands get really itchy after i have a shower if i stay in the water for long but try putting soft hand moisturises on.

good luck

see a dermatologist......have you been sleeping in hotels lately?.....hotel beds are a common place for people to pick up scabies and the only way to get rid of it is with a topical cream prescribed by a dermatologist and it is extremely contagious.....usually you will itch in other specific areas but not always.....on the hands and feet, mainly between the fingers and toes....here is a link to further help determine if you have scabies... http://www.safe2use.com/pests/scabies/scabies.htm

Be careful you don't have toxemia I had it come on in my 39th week. It wasn't fun. Stay hydrated (water), lay on your left side and just rest. Make sure they checked your urine for protein and blood pressure. Take an oatmeal bath for the itchy skin.
