I have had doses of Morphine for a couple of operations and didn't have hallucinations, but it is an opiate and acts on the brain as does any drug, so it is a side effect but I would say not a usual one.

Yes, it is one of the side effects from high doses of morphine. Visual hallucination is one of the reported side effects of patients who are on morphine. Reduction of the dose or switching to an alternative opioid analgesic should be considered once such side effects take place.

Drugs affect different people in different ways. Maybe your dose is too high. You can hallucinate of it but it is quite rare. I'd advise you to talk to your doctor or pharmacist.

Fairly Normal yes, there are a few factors to consider though, Your weight, the heavier you are the more you need for this, general level of health if you are healthy generally then you will need more and if you are not used to drugs, by which I mean avoid all types inc paracetamol etc unless you have to then the less you will need to get high.
