Judaism, Christianity, Islam - all consider the Jordan River holy but the river is now mostly sewerage and salt water. It is no longer even safe for pilgrims to go in or touch the water. The Dead Sea level drops by 1 meter a year. It is dieing. All of the countries around say they need the water for agriculture and each country blames another for the Jordan River's death. Sound familiar?

Just to clarify I never said it was holy, it has been declared holy by those 3 religions. If people don't know their own religion well I can't help them as I am atheist and frankly would rather worship the environment.
