Based on current COE price, it's better to get a brand new. Mazda RX-8 new car price from agent is around S$115,000; from parallel importers is around S$94,000. (But take note, parallel normally have a lower OMV, which meant lower PARF rebate).

Dude, I don't think you'll love the rx-8, because it may be fast, yet it still has the notoriety of the past rx-7 (FD3s)'s past. Because the rx-7 is so popular for its intense thirst for fuel and it goggles up oil in an alarming rate. Even though it was refined in the rx-8, it still has its thirst for fuel. it may show that you can have a 9km/l consumption but some reviews show that it has only a 6-7km/l rate. But if you really like the rx-8 that much, I prefer the brand new ones compared to the pre-owned rx-8s cause, new ones has less tendency to be serviced for some time. I may not be based on Singapore, but i hope that my answer helps.
