Yes, I'm bare foot most of the time. I prefer to be barefoot when I can! I run almost every morning 3-5 barefoot.

I wouldn't call it a hiking expedition. But I've been for a 1 1/2 hour bush walk in thongs(aka flip-flops) I took them after 15 minutes, did the rest barefoot.

I've done several hiking events barefoot but not *that* far, 4 days of 10 miles daily (evenings after work) has been the most. Which is the furthest I've ever walked, regardless of what I'm wearing. I'm not that much of a hiker, I enjoy one, two, at most three hours of it but that's enough for me, then I start getting a bit bored.

When I was in the Rangers and Airborne, we'd go on 12 mile hike to stretch out. Then we'd get serious. A 45 pound pack and all our gear, you wouldn't want to come with us barefoot. My BAR and Two bandoleers would weight in at 48 pounds in itself.

No, feet need to last a life time, use 'em now and you will regret it later, barefoot is for the house.
