What are some of the best tasting and/or expensive wines?

well taste is a personal matter, expensive we all can relate to, some very expensive wines are the first growths of bordeaux,
* Château Lafite Rothschild Médoc (Pauillac)
* Château Margaux Médoc (Margaux)
* Château Latour Médoc (Pauillac)
* Château Haut-Brion Pessac-Leognan
* Château Mouton-Rothschild Médoc (Pauillac)
These can be matched by wine from Burgundy.
Burgundy is home to some of the most expensive wines in the world, including those of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, Domaine Leroy, Henri Jayer, Emmanuel Rouget, Domaine Dugat-Py, Domaine Leflaive and Domaine Armand Rousseau.
Good luck! Wish I could afford these wines.

One of my all time favorite expensive wines is:
Silver Oak 2002 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Thisis an opulent wine of great depth and concentration. It displays a dark, garnet color and aromas of black plum, cassis liqueur, rose petals, nutmeg and sandalwood. The palate offers a mouth-coating texture and a wonderful progression of flavors from berry fruit to tobacco to dark chocolate, culminating in an extraordinarily long finish reminiscent of a dark chocolate truffle filled with berry liqueur. Properly cellared, it should provide drinking pleasure until 2028. ($99.99)

Check out some wines from Robert Mondavi that are priced around $75 or $100.

All the best tasting wines are completely inexpensive like Sangria or Asti Spumanti!Why spend that much for vinegar?

a 5 liter bottle of chateau lafite rothschild 1949 costs about 25,000. my friend's parents bought it for her wedding reception, and it was very good. great wines, that are cheaper than your average car : opus 1, far niente cabernet, silver oak (catherine's vinyard). chateau montalena, howell mountain merlot, nickle & nickle, chateau petrus, margaux, pio cesare.there are great tasting wines for every budget, you don't have to drink only chateau latour for a thousand dollars a bottle, to experience magnificent wines, enjoy !
