I don't think so. I felt awkward saying it for years and years, and it certainly wasn't because the feeling of love wasn't there. For me at least, I think the feeling was so strong and deep that I felt awkward confining it to three little words that some people seem to use so easily and almost interchangeably with "See you later." But practice makes perfect. And I think the extra self-consciousness that one has when saying it can add a degree of sincerity to how it sounds--we're struggling to say it, it's not just habit. And when you see that people like to hear it and when you learn to enjoy that response, it gets easier and easier to say.

No, I never said it.
All my brothers and sisters are like that. Actually my step brother lately has been saying that and I don´t really like to hear or answer.
I love all of them and I wouldn´t want anybody else in the world as my parents or siblings but I just don´t say it.
ps: I have seen many people who say it and they actually don´t mean it and have a horrible relationship. My boyfriend thinks I am weird because I don´t say it and I also don´t hug them.

Nope! Completely normal. I guess love has been portrayed too often as between a man and a woman, gazing into each others eyes with some kind sickly grin on their face; and the way you feel about your family members just doesn't fit this criteria! You do love them (I think), but its not the kind of love we think about everyday, you love them in another way.

Of course not! Just because Families in movies say it doesn't mean you have to. I'm sure you love your family very much, and not being able to say 'I love you" to them, does not mean you love them less.

No. My family isn't very touchy-feely. We don't hug or tell each other we love each other. I can tell my kids and husband that...but strangely quiet on the family front. I do love them...some of them...just not something we do.

I dont think so, you obviously believe that they are words not to be taken lightly and use them when important..
Nothing wrong with that!
Besides, if you dont say i love you does not mean you dont respect them or care for them

no that's not weird
but if you can't say it to your family
then would you be able to say it to your bf/husband in the future?
if you can't then sometimes that would be a problem.
