Yes, the place exists. But as we speak German here it is pronounced differently "u" is not pronounced "a" but like English "oo" (only shorter in that case).
The name dates back to 1070 and a man called Focko who lived there in the 6th century the ending -ing means people so the meaning of the name is "Place of Focko's People"
The street signs had to be secured as they got constantly stolen by tourists.
