How many of you put a fake photo (or somebody else´s photo) as their avatar?
I have been asked if it was me on mine and I thought : of course, who else???

Hey guys, the only photo who answered is the first one.... all the others are cartoons - even if some are my favourite ones of all times...

I still don't have a good photo of myself in the right format, and I think you need a good one as they do seem to distort here in a small space. (Yours looks good, but I've seen some even better ones on your 360 page). For my gmail account I use my dog avatar (I have a Scottie), but on Y!A I like playing with the avatars and the accessories they provide. I've changed my clothes many times already, and of course the backgrounds, earrings, bags, etc. I'm a girly girl and still enjoy this kind of activity! Recently I've put up a photo of a red rose resting on a black keyboard... I like it because it's eclectic enough... one living thing interacting with a machine... I have a special liking for red roses and I also have a black keyboard that I use a lot, so it's pretty much defining me as a person.
But I'm sure I'll change it soon with a Shao-Lin Kung-Fu avatar which looks great, only in a different way.

Once I asked a user if the person in the pic was really her, she was surprised I did. But alas, a lot of people do use fakes, of course not only here on Yahoo.
As far as my regard, I'm not photogenic enough :) but my avatar tells a lot about me (for "those who know"... :-)

Im not smart enought to figure out- scratch that- im not patient enough to figure out how to put a real photo up. Otherwise, i probably would.
My avatar is as close as i could get to look like me.

Nah to use a real pic is insane and demented, i get enough stalkers as it is, id rather be told how ugly or beautiful i am by people i learn to trust than let the whole world look, pass judgement and recognise me in the street.

Mine is the closest I could get to me. It actually seems pretty close in my opinion. I'm not all that savvy on the photos, so I haven't done that.

its a computer animated composite called a yahoo avatar that i created to look as much like me as I could...and honestly Ive been told there is a crazy likeness!!lol
