I know people say that you should take 1 or 2 days out the week to allow your muscles to relax with other exercises, but what about walking, since it's kinda causal?

When you walk you use the same muscles. When you have an alternative exercise that develops a different portion of your body-you let the other muscles rest and have a more vestal physical fitness over all. Too much of a good thing (only walking every day) reduces the overall effectiveness of the exercise benefits.

There is nothing wrong with walking. That's if you are not doing any other exercises. Walking is the best form of exercise. There is no pressure and you are doing it at your own pace. " Not like the gym where everyone is watching you"

You may be able to get away with it at your age but it is very bad habit to acquire. You run the risk of developing all sorts of unpleasant things later like diabtetes - and risk losing muscle rather than fat in the meantime. The body can accommodate a certain amount of feast and famine but you put more of a strain on your system than continous moderate consumption matched to your energy needs.

No it would be good for you! Usually it is wise to allow your muscles to recover after say a vigorous gym workout but walking is fine.

It is probably fine. If you are over 50, or have any foot or leg problems, check with your doctor, though.
