My Freind .
Could you suggest that study means the learning of knowledge and that you are mature enough to be able to make desicions without being swayed through reading.
maybe you could explain that reading the bible does not mean that you have now found an affinity with its words but that it is a book full of advice if interpreted with loving intent.
could i gently suggest the reading of other books such as the Koran to ensure that your content is varied and the picture you eventualy present is a respresentation of the truth as you percieve achived through study of many different angles .

Just do it. Read your Bible. God comes first. Or you might want to read it online at www.biblegateway.com. Then you can clear the Internet History after that. But how old are you? If you are 18 years old, all the more should you not be afraid. Good luck and God bless you.

Are your parents atheists? Do they believe in any other religions??? Study the Bible doesn't mean you have to be a Christian you could study it for your knowledge:) It's good to know something new.

In you live int he United States and are under the age of 18, there's nothing you can do about it. Legally, they have full say over your live untilyou are 18, and that includes your choice of religion as well.

If you are over 18, you have to make your choice as to what you wish to do - and while they can disapprove, they cannot do anything about it.

I do not know how this works in other countries though.

Tell them that if they refuse to allow you to study the bible, you will not do any house chores for a week, and after that you will leave home and become a priest.

So you can figure out how to post a question on the internet without them knowing, but you can't find a way to sneak in readings of arguably the world's most easy to obtain book?

Sorry, but I call B.S. here.

Study the Bible secretly. Don't worry, Christians have always been persecuted.

i believe that everyone should be able to follow the religion (or not) of their choice.
however if you live at home and are of a different religion you may have to wait until you are able to move out.

good luck to you.

edit
i find it odd that so many people are telling you to disobey your parents. if you are an adult then do as you wish, but if you are a child listen to your parents.
