see a member of staff and explain to them about the older kids being in the under three section. They should have a staff member monitoring the area and keeping the older ones out.
do mention health and safety rules and the fact that if a tot gets hurt by one of the older kids who shouldnt be there in the first place, then they ( the play zone ) could get sued in court.
It may make them put a staff monitor on the area. They certainly wont want that as it will hit their pockets and ruin their reputation.
Good luck
My own bugging point, cyclist who dont think red traffic lights are meant for them. They cycle on and many have so nearly caused accidents. BUT who would get the blame ?? yes, the car drivers.

Don't get me started!!!!
Just a quick story about people walking on the road. One evening when it was just past sunset (the worst time for drivers as far as being able to see pedestrians on the road) and i was driving along a relatively quiet sidestreet in suburbia, I came really close to not seeing a person walking on my side of the street. She was wearing black and was totally oblivious to the cars and just by chance I did not come really dangerously close to hitting her. I decided I'd pull over and let her know just so she would be more likely to play it safer the next time. I swear I did not say it in a sarcastic or uppity tone of voice -- I just wanted her to realize. You won't believe what she said to me!!! "Well, I haven't gotten hit yet." I was completely dumbfounded and just drove away. When I told this story to the first person, they said I should have answered her by saying, "Well, let me know so I can send you flowers." I wish I'd thought of that because I think it's a great comeback to such an idiot.
Next time talk to the manager about the big kids playing in the little kid area. They should absolutely tell the kids. Hey, in the town where I live -- the big kids go to the playground (all together as a group) all summer long with the town camp and use the equipment there that's for the 3 yr olds and they are 10 yrs old!! So what's my 3 yr old supposed to do???

I can't stand it either! I take my kids somewhere to play and there are all of these older kids running around, trampling over the younger kids! I make my five year olds play in the big area, hoping that some other parent will follow my lead. Then parents look down on my parenting because I am only 20...

I'll think I will avoid play factories! Why would 10+ years would want to go in one? Cyclists, I agree with you on that one. Can't stand them on the road. No tax, no insurance so if they caused an accident, it'll be everyone else's fault but theirs! I know I will get my butt kicked with this one- "so-called" parents who don't think of their kids safety: You know, the ones that let their kids run off away from them or the kids getting out of a car via the driver's side by a road!

You will feel so much worse in 4 years time when you are watching your kids playing, they are on the top level going down the slide and you cannot see them. True for most of the older kids section unless you follow them down the slides and up the ropes (tends not to be an approved way of bringing up healthy happy kids), so you sit back knowing they cannot get out of the building, sip your coffee and when you see them next they have miraculously appeared in the under 3' section so you have to get up and tell them to get out!
Lots of people don't care, I know (please can they make them behave in shops too in the summer holidays) most of us do!
But tell the staff, get them to put signs up that the children will see and read! something like this is the baby section If you can read this you cannot come in would keep most of them out!
As for what annoys me. Kids in restaurants, take them to child friendly pubs, if they are in with the grown ups keep them on their seats! they should not be running around ME in a nice restaurant, Sure we go, my kids eat we talk, they draw, but they also SIT.
So my chief bugbear? the parents who seriously think that because they are biologically (sp?) programmed to think that their child is so sweet, everyone else does too, and wants to see their tricks, smile, dancing on your table. TAKE THEM AWAY

That wouldn't annoy me. I have 5 kids ages 1-10 though, so I'm used to the different ages playing together. If the older kids are being rough, rambunctious, and so on then I'd have to agree for safety's sake.

Oh that really annoys me!
I tell them myself to get out!
Drivers who don't indicate is my top bugbear at the moment. I know they know where they're going, but I don't...so is it really THAT hard to flick that switch to let me know if I can cross the road?
Ooo, and people who walk in front of me so slowly that a snail could go faster who take up the whole pavement and don't hear me yelling 'Excuse me'...ugh!
What else...hmmm...
When sales assisstants talk to each other whilst serving customers instead of paying attention to what they are doing- I would have been called into the managers office and shouted at if I did that to my customers!

I hear ya! Very VERY seldom do I take my kids to those places, it's chaotic, and most of the parents just sit their big buts down, and let the kids go nuts. What really gets me is when I see a kid there with snots running down his face and coughing like crazy. If he is sick, keep him home. like I want my kids exposed to whatever funk your kid has running through his body.

Why can you not just say it to the older children, I do, I dont care how they react, they shouldn't be there and my childs safety is more important than how they feel, if anything were to happen to her i'd never forgive myself for not saying anything to them, stand up to them, she's your daughter

Oh don't even get me started. I'm becoming so bad that there is little that DOESN'T annoy me! Dread to think what I'm going to be like in 20 years.
