I am quite intrigued with the droves of people on this board who have one line quips to insult those with faith. Does it feel to you like they are pawns? Don't you feel like this is just a little test, to see how you will react with a bunch of annoying bees buzzing you, when you're trying to do something interesting (albeit entertaining), talking and reading about other people's thoughts on faith. One person somehow managed to block those posters who do nothing but insult, and if you can manage that, then you can ask a question and get some insightful responses, from those WITH faith or, those who do not believe in God, but have insight and something interesting to think about.

In other words, I think this is just a little summer time test, to laugh at stupid attempts to prod you into defense of your thoughts.

Also, those who want to INSULT Christians/Jews/Muslims etc, are fullfilling something that is on their own path, and I guess a lot of them are real young. They need a little more open mindedness, and be not so quick to believe the latest mal-researched rot and propoganda they've found on the internet. Someone has sold them an easy recipe that requires no deep thought, but in time they might decide that they can handle thinking deeper, and researching difficult topics like religion and philosophy and faith, which are not easy to grasp.

Oddly enough, I am sure. Was this a question, or just a flame to get us non-believers angry? We feel the same you do about your beliefs--I'm sure everyone feels exactly the same about their ideas and religion.

So please stop telling us that we are going to "meet an awful doom" and the like, I'm sure that all the other religions say the same about you because you don't believe in their gods.

You have to realize that we are all different, it was meant to be that way, and there are millions of people that see the world totally different than you do. Thank you for your concern, but we're happy in living our lives the way we believe we should, not the way someone else tells us.

Joh 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Joh 3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
Joh 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

These folks are proof that God's will is not always done, because God is not willing that any should perish. God's laws are just like gravity, you don't have to believe in them for them to apply.

Heb 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

Of course it won't penetrate. But they are seeds. Now if you can present any evidence whatsoever that your god is the true one, please do. Otherwise your god is about as important as Apollo.

Remember that you are certain that you are right, but others are also certain (ie various Christian sects, Muslims, Jews, etc). So why exactly should I believe your god is right? And because your particular book says so is no evidence.

You said "No argument will make your faith falter if you know God."

But that is not true.

Christian to Christian can I say that there are times and places to preach a gospel-so...please save this for then and there? Your heart is in the right place-however, you are in Yahoo Answers-(not a classroom or church service) and as much as you are able live peaceably with others.

Indeed. You can't cure neurosis with debate. All you can hope for is that one day your neurotic belief system will become untenable through being unable to help you through a traumatic experience, and it may connect you to the feelings you are suppressing with this "faith" you've adopted. Perhaps you felt your mummy and daddy would cast you out if you didn't believe their religion? Or maybe you felt no one cared about you, and were thus primed, by years of not being loved by anyone, to accept a fantasy "promise" of love in it's place? I don't know, and you probably don't either. It's sad.

So you are claiming to have actually seen God. Nice.
You are seriously messed up.
The whole creation as evidence of a creator is such utter hogwash as to be laughable.
Try thinking. Just for once actually stretch your brain a bit and honestly try thinking. You never know where it might take you.

I have to correct you on a certain point; God only loves those people who trust Him. So saying, " God loves you" is perhaps not the most accurate thing to say. The arguments that you are getting are evidence of the point, God does want those people, and does not count them as his children.

No, you don't know it, you just think you do.

Many people are just as sure that other gods exist.

And nice bit of torture threat - but it makes no sense if you claim your god is loving or even fair.

Why don't you worship the earlier gods who died for your sins that jesus was based on?
