The "if" clause needs to be true in order for the entire question to make any sense. But we cannot even do a true/false on the "if" clause when it includes embedded assumptions with which we do not agree.
Let's unpack this. You have the assumption that God gave us free will. You have the assumption that this was a stupid thing to do, and then you ask how he keeps control of the universe. This involves the assumption that he is in control of the universe, not to mention the idea that a stupid entity could not maintain control.
That's just too much for me. I'll answer the second part: Yes, this entire question is quite stupid.

Hey m.levon. I just want to tell you that I understand your fustration, because there are somany question about God, and yet very little answers, but let me tell you that there is an answer to all your questions, you just have to know where to look. For example your question, free wil.. Free will shows the love of the creator towards humans, you know why? Let me put it to you this way, if we didn't have free will, then we would be robots, because God would had made us to only do certain things, and eventually we would became useless. What happends to a robot? eventually it becames boring, because it can only do what it was program to do, so you throw it away. When Jehova God created Adam and Eve He gave them free will, which meant that they can do want, God gave them his rules, he told Adam to fill the earth with people and make the earth into a paradise all the animals were under Adam control(genesis 1:26 and on), What that hard? no they were going to have the help of the creator. The one ond only thing he told them was not to eat from the tree fo goog and bad.
As far of the universe, he does keeps it under contro, do you know that he even call the stars by name (Isaiah 40: 26 “Raise YOUR eyes high up and see. Who has created these things? It is the One who is bringing forth the army of them even by number, all of whom he calls even by name. Due to the abundance of dynamic energy, he also being vigorous in power, not one [of them] is missing).
I hope this helps.

free will is afforded so that mistakes can be made and from these mistakes lessons may be learnt and growth through this process is then possible .
if we so decide to destroy where we live it will be destroyed without prevention from anything. you can be sure of this
as of yet we havnt worked out how to destroy the whole universe it would appear that mankind is currently busy setting about destroying earth . you can be sure that once space travel is avaliable to the masses . parts of space will be destroyed too .
so is god stupid? i would say that the creator has more intelligence than any other . it is foolhardy to destroy what you are given but not stupid to provide it in the first place .
again we need to look at ourselves for the answers .

ROFLMAO...you're just asking to be bashed by Liberals, Atheists and Democraps of all levels :).
don't worry about you spelling, you have right point. Atheists and Agnostics bring the sane type of excuse, dragging it from one question to another, they have nothing else to bring. Even God give us free will we still in babies pampers, because most of the times we act selfish, stupid , arrogant. And until we have all, people won't change it just will be worst.

From my opinion, God's job is to create. I do believe that he gives us free will. He didn't have control/decided not to control us. If he have full control of us, there will be no bad things and we woudln't get something called 'karma'. In other hand, according to the Christians, God gives us right to do whatever things we want since it is told in bible that human are the picture of God himself. If God control us, Adam and Eve wouldn't have commit any possible sins, would they?
