If the question is about where our faith comes from, then the best examples would come from our holy text. That would be the LOGICAL place to look for it, right?

I see your point, though. Too many Christians focus so hard on what the Bible says they don't think about why it says it. For instance, I can think of half a dozen reasons not to have sex before marriage that have nothing to do with the Bible. Also, too many of them are also too busy condemning that they forget that their instructions were to teach.

Personally I keep a Bible next to me when I answer questions--a real one, not just one on my computer so I can Cut/Paste. If I want to use a passage, I will list it with the information it relates to and leave it up to my audience to go look it up for themselves. If they're actually interested in the answer, they'll go look it up.

Great question. Too bad a bunch of Christians are just gonna get ticked off and make me look bad.

We use the Bible quotes to support our opinion. "Real logic" is based on individual morality. If "real logic" were an acceptable method for answering spiritual questions, several things about Christianity would become a waste of time and Christ's sacrifice would be a tragic loss.

Bible is the genesis of all things, there is nothing happening now that is not in the bible or that as not happen in the past so using bible to answer question is best solution to the problem thus logic will just manipulate the answer and this may not satisfy the person that asked the question.

Because faith and logic are not compatible. Proof from the bible is worthless. If you have everread the bible there is ) logic in it.

Besides the hundreds of contradictions, historical inaccuracies, and the fact the Appolonius of tyana did the same things at the same time in the same region (go look up his gospels which still exists). read his story, does it ever sound familiar.

Diddy show me any truth in the bible.

was it saint thomas aquinas who wrote of the 3 eyes? the eye of the flesh, the eye of contemplation and the eye reason between them. Logic has a place in religion but only to a point. It is as laughable to see a man make a religion out of logic as an xtian who refuses to allow logic in.

Logic is never the problem; it's the postulate. A systematic course of reasoning can be given for any postulate. So it's the underlying assumption that has to be dealt with; not logic

Why do non- Christians think that God needs logic to do his works, It was not logical for Moses to lead his people into a sea and get trapped between the sea and the army that was after them, but God parted the sea for them to cross, if man depends on his own logic there is no faith for God to what needs to be done, mans logic is of this world, faith in God dose not require logic.
