The Grateful Dead pointed this out years ago. Monotheists are necessarily talking about the same god, whatever name they use, whatever attributes they ascribe to him. If there is only one, then that is the one you mean when you use your own language's word for "God." Allah, Yahweh, whatever: the One.
Then there are us polytheists.

The Arab Christians call God in his name Allah.
But there are Western and Westernized Christian pseudo-scholars who are claiming that Allah is not the God of the Christian and Jews.
After 1500 years in which the Jews and Christians of Arabia are calling God as Allah, these frauds are shouting to the top of their voices that those Jews and Christian Arabs were duped into doing so. Duped???? By who? The muslims never forced anyone to call God as Allah but the Jews and Christians themselves even at the time of prophet muhammad (pbuh) already knew that Allah is the One God. If they don't, why did they not oppose him at his very face like they always do? Infact the great Rabbi of Medina at that time became a muslim and changed his name to Abdullah without any pressure or force!
And even today the bible scholars and bible printers are still using Allah in their Arabic, Indonesian, Turkish, and Melayu translations of the BIBLE!!!!!

in Arabic Bible, christians use the word "Allah" to relate to the muslims. The word "Allah" itself means literally "GOD".
But if we are talking about the Person of Allah, and the Person of YAHWEH,(the Christian God), then both are very very different.
Allah, to muslims is revealed as One in One form.
YAHWEH, or Jehovah, or Father in Heaven is One revealed in 3 FORMS, The Father, The Son, The Holy Spirit.
Allah, in the muslim sense, has said in the Quran that Jesus, is just a man, not The Son of God, or God Himself.
The Father, in Christianity, has said and affirmed in the Bible that Jesus is the Son of God. There are verses in the Bible that indicate that Jesus is the manifestation of God Himself too.
Jesus was a Jew. He called The Father, "Abba", or "Adonai", or "Eloi", never "Allah.".
Allah in the Bible is used as literally, "GOD", referring to the Triune God.
but "Allah: in Islam is VERY VERY different from GOD in the Bible, as i have shown from above.
so, Allah, and YAHWEH, are different. and personally, i think only One of them is God.
