In the Book of Job, satan, wanted to prove to God just how easy it was to go back and forth between the fabric of heaven and earth. It is a thin fabric, but we cannot see it for the flesh.
The flesh is like unto a cloth which a man wove so to carry the spirit without leak. The holes that we have (nose, ears, mouth) are for the sake of the senses. And, so is knowledge gained by experience. Yet, the flesh being pulled over the spirit, cannot see through. And so we cannot see out in the spiritual world because of it.
When God realized that Satan was attempting to show his prowess, He stopped him from coming. And so are we less fortunate and full of woa because he can no longer tempt angels to fall.
There is a war between both. And we look at it in terms of the flesh and the spirit. The war begins within, and so we wrestle with principalities in "high" places... that is the mind....

Satan is still imprisoned, and guarded by Michael, until he is casted out, where he will then come to earth and claim to be Christ.
I would have to read up on it, but one passage comes to mind.
Revelation 20:7-8
And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom [is] as the sand of the sea.

It's an alliteration to the fact that Satan is roaming the Earth seeking out souls he can destroy. Jesus once told Peter point blank, "Simon, Simon. The DEVIL desireth to have you that he may sift you as wheat (pick you apart, look for your weaknesses and see what he can do to tempt you and ultimately destroy you)."

Yeah, he seeks whom he may devour. The bible says the enemy comes to steal, kill and destroy, so keep close to the Lord! He's your shield, your strength and your fortress against the enemy!!! Praise the Lord! Put on your armor of God every day, and ask God to send angels, and cancel all assignments and attacks of the enemy. Pray for protection for yourself and your loved ones. It's war! You should read up on spiritual warfare. All Christians need to know how to fight the unseen battle!

This is not a man and if you continue to read he is walking to and fro upon the earth, seeking those he may devour.

Yes, but he can only be in one place at a time, unlike God.
Hey, are you a believer?
Um, he is trying to steal God's children away. He is jealous because God loves us. So he's trying to deceive us into following the evil path and making us suffer in hell.
