Well I'm not really sure if I got a hand raised budgie or anything, but I just bought two today and they seem to be very tame. I can already scratch them on their heads and they go on my finger without running away. Should I keep doing this for the first few weeks? After they master this, what do I do next? I'm really excited about my two new boys! On the way home, I was talking to them and they moved closer to me as I talked and listened! Anyway, thanks in advance xP.

If you can touch them without them getting scared then that's good already. I've had mine for over four months and the idiots still get scard if I try to touch them and I have to chase around -in the cage- to finally get them to sit on my finger. I got them when they were like 6 months old. It's always good to get them at a very young age for them to be really tame.

Just keep doing it daily if you want them to stay friendly to humans. I used to raise budgies and loved it. What you do from there is up to you. Do a lot of reading if you want to do more.

I am soooo jealous!!!!! That's really cool! Keep playing with them and spending time with them! They obviously love you very much and have possibly bonded already! Keep playing with them and you may be able to teach them to talk and do tricks if you want to.
