where was it, and were they cool

I met the Pettys at Louisville Harley Davidson. It was during that BS Kyle Petty called a "ride across America." All they roade was 10 miles across a bridge from Indiana to Kentucky.

No, they weren't cool. They were both jerks to the public. A woman wanted to ask Kyle Petty for an autograph. She was being polite about it from what I saw. But, Richard Petty felt the need to stiff arm her.

Their race team sucks anyway.

Two best meetings I've had with drivers were with Dale Earnhardt Jr and "Handsome" Harry Gant. Met Dale Jr. at an Outback Steakhouse in Jackson, MI back in April 2002. Team came in for dinner after testing at MIS that day and sat in the booth behind me. Jr, Pops and the rest of the crew were very friendly and each shook my hand as I wished them luck in the next weeks race.

Met Harry Gant a few years after he retired when he was signing autographs in the Skoal trailer at MIS. A big rainstorm came through that morning so with everyone heading for cover he stood there by himself. My brother and I hustled under the trailers awning and was able to chat with him for like 20 minutes since no one else was around. That was a cool moment.

Other drivers I've met briefly were Ken Schrader, Derrick Cope, Kyle Petty, Johnny Benson, Ricky Craven, Ron Hornaday, Sterling Marlin, Greg Biffle, Casey Mears, Reed Sorenson, Bobby Labonte, Terry Labonte, Brian Vickers, Mark Martin, Jeff Gordon, Ward Burton, Chad Little, Joe Nemechek, Scott Riggs, Elliott Sadler, Brian Regan, Robby Gordon, plus probably a few more that I cant remember off hand. All were very friendly and polite.

Just this weekend(Gateway race) I met, Carl Edwards(again), David Ruetimann, JJ Yeley, Dave Blaney, Marcos Ambrose, Steven WAllace, Jason Leffler, Reed Sorenson, David Ragan, Scott Wimmer. Plus Jeff Burton, Jr, Danny O'quinn, Richard Childress, David Gilliland, KAsey Kahne, Kevin Harvick, and Kasy Kahne at Kansas last year.

Carl is always cool and polite. David Ruetiman was awesome he made a new fan this past weekend. David Ragan actually drove by out tailgate and we stopped him. Steven Wallace had attitude, but posed for a pic. David Gilliland was last year and he just got moved up to Cup he was very humble. Marcos Ambrose was great and funny he seemed to like that we wanted to talk to him.

I got to meet Darrell Jarrett, Rusty Wallace and Brian Vickers in Martinsville. They were totally cool.

The most memorable one is when I got a chance to go to a dinner with Kenny Wallace in Charlotte. There was only about 50 people there and we actually got to sit with his wife and daughters and he came over for a few minutes to chat. What a character that man is. You think he's funny on TV, you should get him away from the cameras. We didn't stop laughing the whole night.

Like I have said before I met Tony Stewart once and yes he was cool, he was also really sweet. As a kid I met Dale Sr, but I was so young I really don't remember much of it.

My husband met the really pretty black haired lady driver and got her autograph, and he said she was super nice and very friendly. She gave everyone there one of her little matchbox like cars with her autograph on it also. I am not sure of her name, and would ask him but he is currently asleep. If I ask him tomorrow I will edit my answer and put in her name.
