I am agnostic. I have many christian, a jewish, two islamic, and many athiestic friends. I have a christian sister and an athiest dad. I love them all, and I respect their beliefs. Now, I'm just from a small town in rural Minnesota, and I've tried to be nice about it, but seriously. You call yourself Americans (if you're not American, my argument wont work on you....sorry, but listen anyway)!? We are supposedly a country of religious toleration, but all I see here is immature banter and child-like arrogance.

I'm obviously a teenager, and if you're old and stubborn, forget it. But teens, and other youth, listen up!! Let us be the revolution that will end misunderstanding and arrogance. "What can we do?" right? Well, listen to me now, and follow my directions and pass them on. Preach tolerance! Preach love!

To those of you who wont change: I pity you.

To those of you who want to help: thank you.

I won't change my beliefs on Christ...BUT I agree with you 100% about the childish banter and ignorance on all parts....we are supposed to be a country of religious toleration but hey who knows...at least we are entitled to think no matter what people believe.

You sound like a very wise young man. Keep up the good work...

Honey, we tried that in the 60's against everything "establishment". We opened a Pandora's box back then with "Make Love, Not War", "Tune in Turn on and Drop out", "Sex, drugs and Rock and Roll"! And it hasn't been closed since.

You guys haven't done all these things yet. I have and now, my generation, the Boomers, are seeing what we produced... the hatred etc. The whole thing backfired... just as it will on you.

I know you won't listen to me because we didn't listen either. Remember, we "never trusted anyone over 30!" because they obviously didn't know what they were talking about.

Well... I'm 47 years-old now and I wish we'd listened. But, if you feel you must..a good old protest song is Marvin Gaye's "What's Goin' On'" If you can find a way to close that Pandora's box that we opened preaching "Love and Tolerance" You'll get a better response by closing it.

I'm not "old" but not young either. Where does 36 fit in? right away you state "old and stubborn". I have a 12 yr old son who can be very stubborn at times. One thing you need to learn is to be respectful.

Tolerance is what is wrong in America. Over the years we have had laws added to force us to tolerate anyone who is different. And over the years you will see that secularism has crept in and ruined many people's morals. Love is great but many people abuse it.

I am Catholic and won't change. I don't need your pity. You have a lot to learn. Respect for all ages is a good start.

I hear you buddy. Christians will say that Jesus = Love, but that's only the nice part of their deal. You also have to submit to ridiculous and antiquated beliefs, like that women are inferior to men, homosexuality is evil (who cares what consenting adults do in their spare time!!!), etc.

Agnostics are sitting on the fence. You'll probably jump to once side or the other at some stage. I hope that you join my atheist camp where Reason is what we respect above all.

I'm up for tolerance. It's true about what people say about the youth and future generations. They're getting smarter. Humans are constantly evolving. Not just physically, but mentally & spirituality as well.

No, Trolling is rude disrespectful and bullying. NOTHING justifyis this. I refuse to sink down to the levels of the Fundy Wackjobs who stalked my house for seven years. I'm not perfect, but am much better than that. .

I am sure you would consider me old. However I am not stubborn. I agree with you but your idea is not new. Many of us have been trying to pass on love and tolerance for years.

I am Christian if it matters.

Hey, I'm ALL for religious tolerance. I don't want to have to be ridiculed just because I say I believe in some guy named Jesus Christ.

Just because you don't convert to Christianity (which is an important duty that all Christians must try to perform), it doesn't mean I'm going to burn you at the stake because of it.

You're right when you say preach love!!! It's all about love!!! God created us out of love, and we're meant to love one another and God. It's all about love, it's actually the greatest commandment in the bible! You have a high calling on your life, I can sense it. Have you heard about the IHOP in Kansas City, or The Call Nashville? You should google them. Check out Lou Engle too. God's calling you, brother, He has big things for you!!!
