People who make up multiple yahoo ID's must really be insecure in themselves so how could we be sure they are secure in their own religion? I feel sorry for the honest religious folk here...must be like having an unwelcome visit from an embarrassing relative.

Frankly I've never given it much thought.

I'm a Christian, a fundamentalist by some definitions, and I don't buy into hate regardless of who preaches it. If it's a so-called Christian who is preaching hate I would say that person either has not read Scriptures or has read them and hasn't gotten it.

I would agree with you that people who use dishonest means to project hate in the name of Christianity are probably not secure in their own religion. However I don't look at them as relatives so I'm not embarrassed.

People are free to practice religion in many ways. I think those who are dishonest are cheating themselves far more than they are cheating me.

I consider myself a nice Christian. I don't feel sorry for myself though. Anyone of any intelligence can tell that anyone who spreads hate is not a true Christian.

I don't feel sorry for anyone....
christian, athiest, whatever.

Your beliefs are your beliefs

You have a choice... keep your beliefs to yourself unless asked, or broadcast it to the world and be ready to accept criticism and disagreement.
