I am an atheist and I will delete any question that pushes religion on me. Does anyone know where i can go to an atheist chat room so I can discuss ideas and other things?

I'm a die hard atheist.

check out www.samharris.org/forum. It is not so high frequency as this place but there are many clever people on there.

You should read Sam Harris's books, btw: The End of Faith, and Letter to a Christian Nation. You'll enjoy them, my brother, I promise you!!

Richard Dawkins: The God Delusion and Daniel Dennett: Breaking the Spell are also very good.

If you only want to discuss things with people who agree with you, what's the point? Church people call that "preaching to the choir."

And you can't "delete any question" that pushes religion on you. For one thing, you do not delete questions. You report abuse, which may get you deleted (your entire account) if you do it indiscriminately. And no question pushes anything on you. You can just ignore it.

As to an atheist chat room, I daresay there are hundreds. Why not do a search on the word "atheist" and find one you like. Or find a dozen. This Answers program is for people who want to politely ask and answer with anyone, not someone who is looking for a limited group.

Why do you want to delete questions from the religious? Who will we atheists debate with?
I would find an all atheist forum boring. What do you do, all agree that there is no God and then sign off?

I would add one book to Ocram's list: "Atheism: The Case Against God" by George H. Smith. It is the most comprehensive book on atheism that I have read.

I am always on :-) and atheist.
I don't think there are other chat rooms but why not try and save the people who have put all their eggs in one basket by picking a religion. It is the humane thing to do, they need help.

At least one. I don't know about chat rooms, although I imagine that there are some.
