yeah...aspartame and sodium benzoate has been linked to cancer...

I know what you mean...I'm afraid to eat a lot of foods and walk outside and breathe air as well because of all the carbon dioxide...not to mention I grew up living near a power plant...

I don't think they're trying to scare us...I think they're trying to make "news," trying to come out with something they know will strike a chord with plenty of people even if their studies are premature...

I really hope I don't get cancer. I feel like I would rather die getting bit by a shark rather than cancer...

Aspartame isn't linked to cancer anymore. It used to be, until it was discovered that the amount given to rats is far more than any human would ever ingest in their lifetime. Sodium Benzoate at high temperatures will give you cancer in like 40 years. But oddly enough regular coke will not give you cancer, it will however give you diabetes and heart disease. "Everything" nowadays seems like it will give you cancer because everything is artificially made for inexpensiveness and efficientness. Not for health.

you're right ... seems everything these days causes cancer, but it's not too far from the truth.

the best way to eat healthy so as not to promote the possibility of cancer is to eat mostly raw foods, make sure they're organic, and stay away from foods that are processed. even grilling on charcoal can cause cancer because of the carbon. and stay away from diet anything - all sodas are bad for you.

It's researchers with grants who have nothing better to do. Back in the 80's my science teacher told us that bacon causes cancer. Why? Because those scientists shaved lab rats and slathered them in bacon grease and fed them bacon for months. The rats got cancer. Well, duh! Too much of anything is bad! So I take those cancer scares with a big grain of salt.

I try not to listen to what they say any more. In my opinion, they have no idea what causes cancer so they are just trying to find anything that they "think" may cause it. I think if you didn't eat or drink everything they have said causes cancer then you would die of starvation.
