Well "hate" is a little bit too harsh a word. I get somewhat annoyed but remember that old childhood shibboleth, "Sticks and stones will hurt my bones but names will never harm me." You really have to develop a hard shell here to survive some of the barbs. What really disturbs me is the racism and the foul language.

Yes. I've noticed snarky comments, sarcasm, rudeness for the sake of rudeness. But, this is an online community with all kinds of people, both nice and mean. Sometimes, even the nice say something off just so they can exercise their mean-muscle. Being faceless helps one not feel guilt or shame...no room for serious punishment (unless Yahoo comes after the serious offenders and they're never heard from again...!?!?!)

Yes, I rather do. I've seen some really dumb questions I have to admit, but maybe they just haven't been educated yet. People are just too judgemental and not willing to let people have a chance as to why they may not know something. Also I dated one of the type that just like to make life a living hell for everyone. I don't understand why still though. We may never understand completely why some people do things so terrible.

I don't mind rude comments if they are thoughtful and well composed. Some rude comments provide interesting insights.
Someone will probably find this answer offensive and have Yahoo Answers yank it off. But that's the job of yank offs.

Well I think a lot of people act like crazy assholes here because of the anonymity of the internet. They wouldn't dare be so rude or crass in public.

does it surprise you that you have so many sympathetic people answering? We see the same thing every time we come here. You just have to consider the source(s) and move on. There's plenty of good and intelligent people here, too.

Yes, it is one thing to debate, and disagree, but a shame when people answer with true hatred in their hearts and verbal hatred. I noticed this especially in the immigration topic. May blessings chase the righteous.

No. I hate how ignorant people are on here. Especially in the politics and religion section. My "god" is the best. My "flag" is the best.
