A man want to reach a window which is 40 ft above the ground. The distance from the foot of the ladder to the wall is 9 feet. How long should the ladder be?

the ladder should be 41 feet

This is a simple question of finding the hypotonuse (?spelling)

40 (squared) + 9 (squared) = the hight of the ladder (squared)

So the first person is right. The answer is 41ft
