It isn't the best idea to do because it hinders oxygen from reaching your eye. You could also damage your cornea this way which can be painful. Some people have worse reactions to this than others. For example, my sister can no longer wear contacts and must wear glasses. I, on the other hand, am guilty of doing this all the time (much too frequently) and I've never had any problems. It isn't suggested - try to avoid doing it.

The contacts that are made now are called "gas permeable." That means oxygen, which is a gas, can permeate, or get through, the lens. But sleeping in them should not become a habit. Using the original hard contact lenses can be used to correct your vision, too.

yes do not wear the ripped contact lens it could scratch your eye ball causing you much discomfort and pain. Have you glasses, I advice that you wear your glasses and return to your opticians for a new set of contact lenses. Hope this helps.

I wear contacts and their not bad at all but you have to be very careful while wearing them you can get problems
make sure you take them at night and if you have the ones that you replace every two weeks they do have ones you leave in alll the time(but their not that healthy) but do make sure you remember to take them out you can get cobble stones or dry eye even worse eye infections from not changing them enough or leaving them in for to long if your having trouble talk to your eye doctor they'll give you tips about keeping your eyes healthy

good luck:)

Do you want to go blind? Never leave your lenses in overnight, you can get inflammation as well as severe infections doing that, be more careful next time. I'll bet in the morning your eyes felt as if there were grains of sand in them all day, right?

Well idk if its bad, im guessing it is, but idk. I used to forget to take them out and i would sleep and nothing would happen, but recently i did dat and i woke up with really tired eyes like if i had not sleep and my eyes were reall really red, the whole day and i triedl Visine and that didnt really help. it reduced the redness but by just a little bit. That has happened a couple of times now and i know you forget but try your best, to always take them out. My eye doctor said it was ok to leave them in for naps and stuff like that but not over night and if you are going to sleep with them, put solution into your eyes before you go to sleep, so at least they can stay hydrated a little bit longer, because i think that when they are dry thats when it can be bad for your eyes. But im no eye doctor so i dont know!

Most problems from contacts are from people sleeping in them or not cleaning them good enough. Wearing contacts isn't the problem. It's what you do with them. Be careful...they're the only eyes you get.
