I don't eat hamburger...only steak

yes it does because it comes from a different part of the cow. Most hamburger is made from trim and unsteakable parts like the chuck(shoulder). The chuck tends to have great flavor but is very tuff so they grind it up with fat trim from the rest of the cuttings and bingo you got hamburger. Most steaks come from the rib and or hind section of the cow and have less flavor but are very tender. A little simplified but this is the reason why they taste different. Also the reason why when they make hamburgers out of sirloin(steak) it tastes so much different than regular hamburger.

I eat both, but only the lean kind ... I buy it fresh at the Eastern Market and yes a hamburger tastes much different then a steak. They're both delicious in their own ways when not overcooked....

depends on the quality and seasoning much like steak - the major difference is the texture - if you have ever had country fried steak or chopped steak you aren't far from the taste/texture of a burger.

hamburgers are much better. i find steak to be chewy and harder to breakdown in your mouth. it doesnt taste bad but i like hamburgers
